Total relaxation

In June I visited the caves for the second time and it's still such a nice place to stay!
I love the variety of nature, the people and the cave itself! A perfect place to relax, don't forget the hammam, and come to your senses.

Loved it

We stayed here for a couple of nights on our honeymoon recently. It wasn't the fanciest place we stayed, but it was one of the most enjoyable. After the bustle of Barcelona and the sightseeing in Granada, we really enjoyed having a couple of quiet days relaxing.
Granada, we really enjoyed having a couple of quiet days relaxing. Staying in a cave was really neat. We went in the summer, when it was quite hot, and the caves are wonderfully cool and quiet. it feels lovely. Our cave was impeccably clean and had a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and outdoor patio area. We picked up groceries from a supermarket in Guadix (bread, cheese, meats, olives, fruit) and had lovely meals on the patio.
The hotel grounds are really very pretty, and we enjoyed spending some time relaxing by the pool. At sunset, we poured a glass of wine and took a walk down a little dirt road behind the property through some olive groves. The Arab baths were also delightful, and we had them all to ourselves when we were there.
The owners are very nice and hospital, and were very helpful in finding things to do around the area. Gaudix doesn't have a lot to see, but the old quarter and cathedral are pretty, the cave museum was interesting in a quaint kind of way, there are some good tapas bars, and we found the most amazing churros and chocolate at Versalles, a little cafe downtown. The monoliths also made for an interesting day trip, and you definitely feel like you're getting way off the beaten path.

Fantastic welcoming retreat

This is a wonderful place to stay - the hosts were very warm and welcoming - always on hand to give advice. We stayed for one night so didn't make the most of the pool or the kitchen facilities but everything inside our cave was lovely - I will upload pictures which may not do it justice!

We had a massage and used the hot and cold pool before enjoying some sweet tea - I would highly recommend this after a hot day seeing the sights of Granada or trekking!

We went out for dinner to Purullena which is the nearest town and had a nice experience surrounded by locals only. (Guadix didn't look so great).

My only words of advice would be do not trust Google Maps! It is not where they show it to be (we spent a fair while driving around Benalua and finally asked a bemused local who pointed us in the right direction).

Excellent experience sleeping in a cave

Whenever I travel I look for the novelty and experience something unique. Sleeping in caves has been a revelation and most amazing is that above all the amenities offered you any accommodations . He had long heard of the caves of Guadix and this time have not missed the opportunity to visit one of the most recognized...
